Los Angeles, CA Freeman House 1

Los Angeles, CA Freeman House 1
The Samuel and Harriet Freeman House is one of the three textile-block houses designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Hollywood Hills in 1924. Harriet Freeman arranged the gift of the house to the School of Architecture at the University of Southern California so as to protect and preserve a national landmark. After sixty-one years as a residence, the Freeman House came into the possession of the School of Architecture in 1986 as a gift by Harriet Freeman.

My first real architectural history job was here when I was the research assistant to the Director from 1988 to 1990.

My wife and I basically met here on Valentines Day in 1989 when we were both working a fund-raising party.

On the National Register #71000146.
